Commonwealth is a bar downtown on Fremont Street that has vintage charm but hosts modern-day parties. It’s two stories, offering scenic rooftop views and plenty of space to dance the night away! It looks like it’s straight out of the 1920s with crystal chandeliers, brick walls, tin ceilings, quirky decor, low lighting, and vintage portraits on the walls.
Keeping with the 1920s theme, Commonwealth houses a secret speakeasy. It’s called The Laundry Room. That’s right; there’s another small bar inside of this massive one!
If you can find it, The Laundry Room is an exclusive speakeasy. The only way to get in is to make a reservation. This small bar only allows 22 guests in at a time, so you might have to join the waitlist. Once you’re lucky enough to get in, you’ll have access to the bartender’s menu of 27 signature cocktails.
Because of limited capacity, your reservation allows you to stay for 90 minutes and there is a two-drink minimum per guest.
This actually used to be a laundry room for the elite members of the Las Vegas community back in the days of The Rat Pack and Howard Hughes. The now repurposed bar’s vintage furniture and decor pay tribute to those days.
The Laundry Room opens daily at 6 or 9 pm. The secret entrance is on the ground floor, you’ll be told how to access it upon making your reservation. If you can’t get into The Laundry Room right away check out Commonwealth, a reservation isn’t required!
